Ballet Folklorico de Chicago is thrilled to invite you to our next edition of Tradiciones de México! This event is our yearly Pastorela. You may be wondering, what is a Pastorela? It’s a beloved Mexican tradition that retells the story of the Nativity, featuring key biblical characters and even animals, performed in the joyful weeks leading up to Christmas. It is a time to gather with family and friends to celebrate faith, humor, and community. Ballet Folklorico de Chicago proudly continues this tradition with our own special touches, infusing it with creativity, laughter, and vibrant folkloric dance performances from regions across Mexico.
